Most visitors to Great Sand Dunes National Park & Preserve go during summer, to sled the dunes and splash in the creeks. Not us.
I’ve driven across the I-5 bridge over Paradise Point State Park hundreds of times. After stopping there for an afternoon, I’ll never again look at that part of the trip the same way.
Beacon Rock has it all: history, geology, nature, culture. It’s a crown jewel of the Washington state park system.
